I had the pleasure of photographing a beautiful spring elopement in NYC that left a lasting impression. The couple, who flew all the way from the UK, chose NYC as the backdrop for their intimate and stylish wedding day. The day began at the luxurious Hotel Fouquet, where the couple got ready for their special day. The bride carried a stunning pistachio-colored Chanel bag and a breathtaking bouquet adorned with orchids and white roses, adding an elegant touch to her bridal look.

Getting Ready at Hotel Fouquet

Hotel Fouquet, renowned for its glamour and sophistication, provided the perfect setting for the couple’s first look. As they saw each other for the first time in the hotel room, emotions ran high, and tears flowed freely. This heartfelt moment set the tone for the day, capturing the love and connection they shared.

A Private Ceremony at 620 Loft & Garden

After taking some beautiful photos in the hotel’s luxurious suite, we headed to midtown Manhattan to the iconic 620 Loft & Garden. This venue, located atop Rockefeller Center, offers a serene oasis amidst the bustling city. It has historic manicured garden, reflective pool, and dramatic views of Fifth Avenue and St. Patrick’s Cathedral. Indeed, the 620 Loft & Garden is a dream location for weddings.

The couple exchanged personal vows in a private ceremony on the rooftop. It is surrounded by the beauty of the city and the serenity of the garden. The moment was intimate and emotional, with both the bride and groom shedding tears of joy. They exchanged Cartier wedding bands and shared a first dance under the tented garden area. Oh, this experience made it even more magical!

Photos in the West Village and Washington Square Park

As the clouds rolled in, the dramatic skies added a cinematic touch to the photography. After the ceremony, we ventured to the West Village, where the spring florals were in full bloom. The cherry blossoms, scattered on the ground like snow, created a dreamy and ethereal atmosphere for the photos. We captured some of the most beautiful moments in this picturesque setting. Truly, film photography adds a timeless quality to the images.

Our final stop was Washington Square Park, where the couple posed amidst the park’s iconic arch and lush greenery. The natural beauty of the park, combined with the couple’s joy and love, made for unforgettable photographs. The entire day was a testament to the couple’s love story and their adventurous spirit in choosing NYC for their elopement.

Photographing this elopement was an incredible experience. The blend of iconic NYC locations, the couple’s genuine emotions, and the beautiful spring backdrop made it one of my favorite elopements to date. I’m grateful to have been a part of their special day and to have captured these timeless memories.
