Spring in New York City is always a magical time, and this particular wedding at New York City Hall in Manhattan was no exception. The cherry blossoms were in full bloom, adding an extra touch of beauty to an already special day.
Getting Ready for the Ceremony
The bride looked stunning in her custom olive green suit, a perfect choice that showcased her unique, fashion-forward style. She paired it with a bouquet bursting with colors—peach, orange, light purple, and a striking coral dark pink peony. Completing her look were gold glittery kitten heels, adding a touch of sparkle to her elegant ensemble. And the groom was equally stylish, making them a truly fashionable couple.
Inside New York City Hall
Accompanied by their two dads, the couple entered City Hall with smiles and excitement. The iconic building provided a perfect backdrop for their special moment. As they waited for their ticket for the ceremony, we took advantage of the beautiful architecture to capture some unforgettable photos. The anticipation built up as they paid the $35 fee for the marriage license and waited for their turn.
The Ceremony
When their number was called, the couple, brimming with happiness, proceeded to the ceremony room. The actual ceremony was brief, lasting just 2-3 minutes, but it was full of heartfelt emotions and joy. Indeed, their smiles said it all—they were finally married!
Post-Ceremony Celebrations
Exiting the building, they were greeted by friends and family, ready to celebrate this joyous occasion. The bride’s mom, overcome with emotion, hugged her daughter tightly, tears of happiness streaming down her face. It was a touching moment that added to the day’s warmth and love.
Photos in the Wedding Garden
We moved to the wedding garden, a beautiful spot perfect for capturing memories with friends and family. Everyone dressed to the nines, adding to the elegance of the photos. The groom’s young nephew had a blast, holding flowers and enjoying the celebration in his own adorable way. I made sure to capture portraits of all the guests, ensuring that everyone had a keepsake from this special day.
Exploring City Hall and Foley Square
After the garden, we walked around City Hall, taking advantage of the iconic locations. Foley Square, with its classic, old-world European architecture, provided a stunning backdrop for more photos. The area’s timeless charm perfectly complemented the couple’s stylish and elegant look.
A Memorable End at the Subway
Our final stop was the subway entrance near the 6 train, where we captured some truly memorable shots. The mix of urban scenery and blooming flowers made for a unique and beautiful setting, wrapping up a perfect spring wedding.
