Last November, I had the honor of capturing a truly enchanting wedding at the stunning Troutbeck in Amenia, NY. This historic estate, nestled in the Hudson Valley, provided a stunning backdrop for a day filled with love, laughter, and beautiful traditions.
Wedding at Troutbeck
Troutbeck is a 250-acre estate with a rich history of hospitality. It was meticulously restored to offer a perfect blend of luxury and nature. The venue’s breathtaking landscapes, historic architecture, and serene ambiance make it a dream location for any wedding.
Ashley Douglass Events expertly planned the wedding, ensuring every detail was perfect. The couple’s large wedding party, consisting of nine bridesmaids and nine groomsmen, added to the joyous atmosphere. The bridesmaids wore dresses in a fall color palette of forest greens, olives, dark reds, and deep yellows. Thus, creating a vibrant yet elegant look! The groomsmen looked dashing in black tie, while the groom stood out in a dark blue suit.
Beautiful Blend of Cultures
This wedding was a beautiful blend of cultures, as many guests flew in from Japan, Singapore, and Indonesia to celebrate. Despite the rainy Saturdays of 2023, we were fortunate to have a sunny fall day. This added a golden touch to the already stunning setting.
One of the highlights was the special Japanese Sake ceremony during the wedding. It was a unique and touching tradition, with each guest receiving a sake glass they selected themselves. The tables were named after different countries the couple had traveled to together. And this reflected their shared love of adventure and exploration.
Working with the talented vendors on this black-tie, elegant wedding day was a delight. The decor, the setting, and the joyous atmosphere combined to create a memorable celebration that I was privileged to document. The team at Troutbeck ensured that every moment was seamless, from the scenic outdoor spaces to the elegant indoor facilities, making it an incredible venue for such a special occasion.
