Two years ago today Jenifer and June tied the knot with a destination wedding in Bali, and it just felt right to take a trip down memory lane!
Jenifer and June are both Buddhist. They really believe in karma and love – that’s what Bali felt like for them. The first time Jenifer and June traveled to Bali together they remember it “just felt like home.” They both immediately fell in love with the culture, people and island life that Bali has to offer. Needless to say, when Jenifer (of IO Collective) and June contacted Jenny Fu Studio to photograph their wedding in Bali, we knew it would be the opportunity of a lifetime!
Quote from the Bride
The running joke is, I’m terrible with direction but my first time in Bali and I knew all the roads, alleys, and never got lost. It is our home.
When Jenifer and June found Khayangan Estate to host their nuptials, it was pure magic. Khayangan Estate is perched above soaring limestone cliffs on the coast of Bali’s southwest peninsula with tropical greenery, all framed by the azure blue of the vast Indian Ocean stretching as far as the eye can see. Their wedding was inspired by culture, architecture, and colors. These details made it a no brainer for the dynamic duo to incorporate a Moroccan theme. This stunning Moroccan inspired wedding went on to be published in The Knot Magazine Summer 2019.
Jenifer wore a custom-designed ring, created by her goldsmithing mentor, with a beautiful Montana sapphire she had found. Although her mentor is no longer alive, her memory lies in the ring, which is something they can cherish forever.
At the end of the day, what was the most important thing for the couple was the “WOW” factor. They definitely made it happen with surprise fireworks!
