A Stunning Wedding at Brooklyn Grange

A newlywed's special romantic photo at a park in Brooklyn, NY, captured in black and white by Jenny Fu Studio.

Weddings in New York City are always magical, and this special wedding at Brooklyn Grange near Sunset Park was no exception. Brooklyn Grange, a newer venue that opened just two years ago, offers a unique rooftop garden setting with breathtaking views of the city. This venue provided the perfect backdrop for a beautiful and memorable day.

Getting Ready at the Ace Hotel

The couple began their day at the Ace Hotel in Brooklyn. The bride’s bouquet was an absolute masterpiece, featuring shades of orange and white with stunning ranunculus flowers. The bridesmaids wore matching robes, creating a cohesive and elegant look. The excitement and anticipation were palpable as everyone prepared for the big day.

First Look in a Brooklyn Park

After getting ready, we headed to a nearby park in Brooklyn for the couple’s first look. This moment was incredibly special, and we captured some of our best film photos here. The sun was shining, and the love between the couple was evident in every shot. The backdrop of the New York City skyline and the East River added to the beauty of the images.

The Ceremony at Brooklyn Grange

The next stop was Brooklyn Grange, where the wedding ceremony took place. The venue, with its rooftop garden and panoramic views of the city, was absolutely stunning. Little flower girls ran around, adding a touch of innocence and joy to the scene. Before the ceremony, the couple participated in a ketubah signing, a significant and beautiful tradition.

The bride walked down the aisle with her mom and dad, and the couple exchanged heartfelt vows in front of their 125 guests. The ceremony was incredibly moving, and even I had tears in my eyes at one point. The wind added a touch of drama, making the bride’s veil flutter beautifully in the breeze.

Post-Ceremony Celebrations

After the ceremony, the couple signed their marriage license and enjoyed a cocktail hour while I photographed the details of the dinner reception. The venue is in golden sunlight, highlighting the beautiful flowers and decor. Next, we had a short portrait session with the bride and groom as the sun set, capturing some incredible shots on film.

Dinner and Dancing

The evening continued with the couple’s first dance, followed by speeches filled with laughter and tears. As the sun set, the New York City skyline provided a stunning backdrop. The cake-cutting was a joyous moment, and just as the dancing began, we did not expect to see a fireworks show. The guests were thrilled, making the evening even more memorable.

A Special Touch

As a special touch, the guests were given a wildflower mix to plant in honor of the bride and groom. They allowed everyone to capture their own memories of the day through disposable cameras. The entire wedding was filled with fun, joy, and love, and I am incredibly proud of the photos we captured.
