Couple Y+J had a classic, romantic winter wedding at Beekman Hotel and Bay Room, Manhatta. They hired Green Apple Weddings. This event planner made sure the couple got everything they wished for. And I was honored to capture their unique wedding.
Getting Ready
The bride and groom both got ready at The Beekman Hotel, but in separate rooms. And I took some getting-ready shots of both the bride and the groom. I can’t help but notice they both looked so excited! She wore a wedding dress by Alexandra Grecco and shoes by Christian Louboutin. While All Brides New York did her gorgeous hair and make-up. After getting ready, I took some editorial ‘first look’ photos inside the Beekman Hotel’s magnificent interiors. Then, the bridal party also had photos there as well. Afterward, we headed over to their wedding ceremony and reception at Bay Room, Manhatta Restaurant.
Walking along FiDi NYC in cobblestone streets, we took some fun shots with the city views. Finally, arriving at Manhatta Restaurant, we took breathtaking photos with the skyline view. Manhatta is a lovely restaurant on the 60th floor of a Lower Manhattan’s skyscraper, the Liberty Building. Needless to say, the view is priceless!
Jewish Wedding Ceremony
Just before the wedding ceremony started, Y+J did the traditional Ketubah Signing since this is a Jewish wedding. Their wedding theme is Classic NYC, with wedding colors of dark red/maroon, dusty pinks, and white. So at the ceremony, the wedding arch is filled with beautiful flowers of those colors by City Blossoms. Also, the dining tables have beautiful flower centerpieces. Then at the reception, the guests were delighted as Manhatta served a sumptuous menu. They also had a four-layer, simple but pretty cake by Cake Hero. During the celebration, Hank Lane Music was playing splendid instrumental music (during the ceremony), cocktail music afterward, and a DJ for the rest of the night.
From start to end, Jenny Fu Studio (yours truly) captured Y+J’s photos, and NST Pictures took care of the videography. At the end of the day, everyone had fun, which is the most important thing for Y+J.
When we asked what they envision their ideal wedding to be like:
“Classic, Romantic, City Views, not too much hullabaloo – just get married and have a party!“
