Are you looking for the perfect place for your NY engagement photo shoot? But you’re having a hard time because you want to bring little Fido along? Good thing you came across this blog! Here, we’ll go through some of the loveliest spots (that welcome dogs) in New York for your engagement session.

Central Park

Central Park in NYC is one of the favorites among our couples to do an engagement shoot. The park is lovely all year round, especially in fall, when the leaves change colors. And the best part is, it’s a haven for your dogs! They actually allow dogs to move around, unleashed, during specific hours, except for some places in the park.

Brooklyn Bridge

Get timeless NY engagement photos with the best views at Brooklyn Bridge. But don’t forget to bring your pup! Indeed your dogs are welcome on this iconic bridge, and so are 30,000 pedestrians and 3,000 cyclists who cross this bridge going to Manhattan and vice versa. So it’s recommended to take an early morning photo shoot to avoid large crowds.

Coney Island

A beach, amusement park, and world-famous hot dogs are the things to see on Coney Island. Take photos atop a Ferris wheel, by the beach, or with a circus show in the background. The photo ops are endless here, and so is the fun you and your dogs will experience.

Prospect Park

Prospect Park has a lot of beautiful places to capture your NY engagement moments. There’s the Boathouse, Prospect Park Zoo, a carousel, and the 90-acre Long Meadow. And there’s no doubt that this park loves dogs so much that they even have a dog beach!

Buttermilk Falls State Park (Ithaca)

Inside Buttermilk Falls State Park is a small lake, hiking trails through woodlands and along the gorge and rim, a campground, picnic areas, a natural pool, playing fields, and Larch Meadows. Imagine the vast photo ops this location offers you. And again, you can bring your dogs with you. They allow a maximum of two dogs in campsites and day-use areas unless prohibited by sign or directive.

Niagara Falls State Park

Have majestic NY engagement images with the grandeur of Niagara Falls in the background. And they allow household dogs along the green space and footpaths at Niagara Falls State Park, including within view of the falls. But they must be leashed not more than a length of six feet.

Firelight Camps (Finger Lakes)

If you love camping, Firelight Camps at Finger Lakes is the best location for your NY engagement photos. A campfire, luxury tent, and a diverse variety of wild plants are among the cool backdrops in store for you here. And of course, they are dog-friendly too.

The Getaway at Emerald Glen Farm

Another outdoor location, The Getaway at Emerald Glen Farm, is the ultimate dog-friendly place. This is a magical place for you and your dog as they can run freely over the meadows, lovely creek, and gorgeous trails.
