A classic “Old New York” wedding at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, with a reception at JW Marriott Essex House!
We knew we were a perfect fit for each other when we first met the dynamic duo that is Adrianna and Michael. The newly engaged couple found us on BRIDES Best Photographer’s List and scheduled a meet and greet on a weekday evening after work. As the head beauty editor at Yahoo, Adrianna has such a great style about her. She is always in “the know” of all the latest and greatest beauty products on the market.
“Old New York” Vibes
Adrianna really wanted to get that classic “Old New York” vibe that would look “so cool in 50 years!” The striking black and white theme paired with jaw-dropping and iconic classic New York wedding venue St. Patrick’s Cathedral definitely made for big apple vibes all the way. The bride wore a gown by Jenny Yoo, matched with a Waltz style veil that was absolutely gorgeous, trailing down the stairs behind her!
Vintage Taxi?! Say No More.
After the ceremony, a vintage cab (courtesy of Film Cars New York) picked up the newlyweds right outside of the cathedral and whisked us off to Central Park. What’s more classic Old New York than a vintage taxi? To top off the afternoon, the bride and groom grabbed a hotdog from Original Nathan; this was the backdrop for one of their first few dates! After an epic portrait session near The Plaza Hotel, we were dropped off at JW Marriott Essex House. The bride and groom’s reception was in the Grand Salon of the Marriott, where we would finish the evening. Their guests enjoyed dinner and danced until the wee hours of the morning.
Adrianna and Michael are such a fun and loving couple to shoot. In case the classic New York City wedding photos don’t paint enough of a picture, their wedding hashtag was #BrachThisWay!
