Upon first meeting Sharyn and Angelo, we knew their love for the Big Apple would make them such a fun couple to photograph!
Sharyn and Angelo had the most beautiful, private, Greek Orthodox wedding in New York City. To begin the day, the two got ready at the five-star St. Regis Hotel, in one of their stunning suites. St. Regis is always one of our favorites because it exudes luxury and that “Old New York” timeless vibe.
Greek Orthodox Ceremony
Once Sharyn was dressed in her gown, her girls strapped her into jeweled Jimmy Choos! The bride’s son and daughter had flown halfway across the world to be there on the big day, which made for some emotional photos! We all headed down to the street and slid into a luxurious limousine, ready to hit the ceremony. The church ceilings were breathtaking. The couple had a traditional Greek Orthodox ceremony, complete with candles-lambathes. Sharyn and Angelo said, “I do” surrounded by their very nearest and dearest, and afterward, we set out on a private tour of New York City!
Central Park Stroll
Our post-ceremony photoshoot took us first to Bethesda Terrace and Bethesda Fountain – one of our favorite spots in Central Park. Their wedding day was on a perfect September day with the sun shining through the trees creating such stunning light. It was truly magical as we strolled around the park, taking photos as they presented themselves. It was so lovely to wander with Sharyn and Angelo all afternoon and let our time unfold organically.
Days like these are such a great reminder of all that New York City has to offer. You can be wandering through lush parks one minute, and emersed in the hustle and bustle of 5th Avenue another! We wish Sharyn and Angelo a lifetime of love and happiness!
