It’s the start of the year, and you’re thinking of where your engagement photo location in NYC will be. Well, in a very famous city, there couldn’t be a shortage of beautiful places to get your photos done. It may be under a bridge, in a cobble-stone street, or with a view of the NYC skyline. Honestly, the possibilities are almost endless! But let us give you some cool places to shoot your engagement photos.

Central Park

Who doesn’t admire the beauty of Central Park? Clearly, it’s New York’s most iconic park. And a lot of couples in NYC choose Central Park as their engagement photo location. It’s simply because Central Park is so huge that there are tons of places in the park to get stunning photos of. Try Bethesda Terrace and Fountain, The Bow Bridge, The Mall, Loeb Boathouse, or any of the magical hidden gems inside the park. What’s great is, it’s free to take photos in Central Park.

Brooklyn Bridge

The iconic Brooklyn Bridge is one of the most noticeable parts of the New York City skyline. It stretches across the East River, between Lower Manhattan and Brooklyn. Since it opened in 1883, New Yorkers have taken pride in the bridge and is a piece of NYC history. You could take amazing photos while strolling on the bridge itself or in Brooklyn Bridge Park, where you’ll have a fantastic backdrop of the whole bridge.

Prospect Park and Brooklyn Botanic Garden

Prospect Park is Brooklyn’s largest park. It has lots of hidden gems, a zoo, a carousel, an ice skating rink, several lakes, and classic architecture. Even better, it’s home to Brooklyn Botanic Garden, which has 52 acres of world-class indoor and outdoor gardens. So if you like a fresh, natural, and romantic feel to your photos, it’s definitely a great engagement photo location to consider. Another great thing about Prospect Park is that it’s easily accessible from public transportation and parking is easy to find if you bring a car. Other beautiful places here are Prospect Park BoatHouse, Grand Army Plaza, the Vale of Cashmere, the Ravine, Lookout Hill, and the numerous trails, waterfalls, and rustic bridges.

Times Square

If you love NYC’s energetic city vibe, then the best place to shoot your engagement photos is in the famous Times Square. With the busy streets and bright lights, Times Square will give you that distinct New York feel regardless of whether it’s day or night. Locals might not instantly think of Times Square, but it is full of incredible photo opportunities.

Top of the Rock

One great place to capture New York’s skyscrapers is at the Top of the Rock. It’s in the 70-story Rockefeller Center with 360-degree views of Central Park and Manhattan’s midtown and downtown skyscrapers. So it’s certainly not for the faint-hearted! But if you love heights, this is the best way to go.
