More and more couples are asking me if I shoot film. And my answer is yes! I shoot both digital and film. Why do couples still yearn for film despite living in the digital age? Maybe they notice the difference between film and digital. If you are a couple in the middle of wedding planning and interested in film, this blog is for you.

Film photography has been around for many years, yet many photographers still use it today. It is a unique and beautiful style of photography that a photographer can use to capture the beauty of weddings and special occasions.

Film photography is special because it captures moments in time that the couple cannot repeat. It captures the real emotion of a moment and the details of a scene in a way that digital photography cannot. It also has a unique look and feel to it that digital photography cannot replicate. Film photographers use various techniques and lenses to capture the beauty of a scene.

Real Emotion

I believe that film can capture the emotion and beauty of a wedding in a way that digital photography cannot. When I photograph weddings, I use film photography in addition to digital because it allows me to capture the moment in its truest form. It also allows me to create a timeless look that will last for generations.

Unique Look and Feel

Film photography also offers a unique look and feel that digital photography cannot replicate. It has an amazing depth of field and a unique color palette that digital photography cannot duplicate. This allows me to create a unique and timeless look that will last for generations.

Variety of Techniques and Lenses

Film photography also allows me to capture more of the details of a wedding. Because I use a variety of lenses and techniques, I can capture more of the details of the scene. This allows me to capture the emotion and beauty of the wedding in a way that digital photography cannot.

Beautiful Prints

Film photography also allows me to create unique and beautiful prints. Digital photography can make beautiful prints, but film can produce unique and timeless prints. The prints can be framed and hung on walls or stored in albums for you to admire for years to come.

Film Photography is Timeless

Finally, film allows me to create a unique and timeless look without post-production editing. This allows me to capture the moment’s beauty without spending hours editing the photos. Digital photography requires a lot of post-production editing to create a unique and timeless look, but film does not.

Adding film to my process has been a great choice. It allows me to document a wedding day in a more artistic, creative, and unique way. Also, the timelessness of film provides a sense of nostalgia and elegance to the wedding photos and the memories of the special day. I truly cherish the fact that I can tell the story of a couple’s wedding day through beautiful film photography.
